Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Bryan Chitwood

Dr. Bryan Chitwood is an MU graduate who received his BS in General Agriculture in 1995 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After graduating he practiced medicine in Corpus Christi Texas for 2 years. He took a position in Tokyo, Japan with the US Army running two separate two doctor practices that provided pet health care to the US Forces and support personnel at Camp Zama, Yokota Air Base and the US Embassy. He returned to his home town in 2004 and established the St James Veterinary Medical Center.

As a veterinarian, Dr. Chitwood focuses on the best medicine for the patient. He emphasizes educating his clients to give them the tools to best care for their furry companions. He strongly feels that combining the highest quality medicine with complete client understanding allows patients and their owners to receive the best and most appropriate veterinary care. He strongly believes preventative medicine is the best medicine.

Dr. Katherine Redhage

Dr. Katherine Redhage grew up in Pacific, MO where she graduated from high school. While in high school, she shadowed both mixed practice and small animal veterinarians.

She completed her Bachelors of Animal Science at the University of Missouri in 2009 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. While in school, Dr. Redhage completed her preceptorship at Hermann Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Redhage joined our staff in July of 2013. She brings a passion for large animal medicine to our clinic along with joining our commitment to preventative and progressive medicine.

Dr. Redhage was recently married and now lives in Union with her husband, dog and cat. Their home is close to the family farm where they raise bucking bulls and beef cattle.

Meet Our Staff

Lindsie

Lindsie interned with us in 2012. After seeing her hard work and dedication, she was offered a full time position as one of our veterinary technicians. She is a graduate of Hickey College’s Vet Tech program. Lindsie’s interest in large & small animals led her to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Lindsie is recently married and has 2 dogs, four cats and a variety of livestock.

Mike

Mike has been a veterinary technician since 2001. He has been with us since March 2010. Mike enjoys helping clients learn about how to teach their pets to be better behaved members of the family and helping patients recover from illnesses and injury. He also has his own successful dog training business and is very involved in Golden Retriever Rescue. Mike has two dogs of his own.

Terri

Terri joined our team in May 2015 after interning with us for a few months. She graduated from Hickey College’s Vet Tech program. Terri became a technician so she can work with clients and will try to do whatever necessary to help their pets out. She enjoys the satisfaction of helping both the client and pet out. Terri has 2 dogs and 2 sugar gliders.

Sheila

Sheila graduated from Jefferson College in 2007 and has been in the veterinary field since. She previously worked in Specialty and Emergency Medicine. Sheila’s interest to work in a smaller clinic setting brought her to us in September of 2014. She has three dogs and two cats.

Alli

Alli joined our team in 2016 after interning with us. She graduated from Brown Mackie College in 2016 with her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She is a proud mom of two children and has one dog and one guinea pig. She enjoys anything outdoors or having to do with animals.

Casey

Casey joined our team in February 2016. She previously worked as a technician in the Dallas, Texas area and has been in the veterinary field since 2013. She has one bashful husky and one mischievous cat. She enjoys educating clients and forming lasting relationships with the patients.
